What pressing involves
Working with a bending press is both a science and an art at the same time. These artisans operate specialized machines called bending presses to form metal into specific precise shapes.
The process requires a combination of manual skills, technical know-how, and attention to detail.
The bending press operators start by interpreting the customers’ technical drawings and specifications in order to establish the measurements and angles required for bending.
They sometimes also use programming software to set exact specifications on the machine.
After programming, the metal is loaded onto the machine and the settings carefully adjusted to ensure accurate bending, followed by processing.
We can work with different types of metal, each with its own characteristics and bending requirements.
During operation the press operator carefully monitors the machine, making minor adjustments to ensure the quality of the finished products.
Quality control checks are also possible to guarantee that customers’ specifications are satisfied.
The work of a press operator requires patience, attention to detail, and ability in handling metal.
They also need a good understanding of the geometries and properties of metal materials, and the ability to work efficiently and safely with heavy equipment.
